Hey all, I'm looking for some help.

Long story short last month I broke up with my ex of 7 months on mutual grounds, however we had a fight after breaking up (This was a month ago mind, we had a fight because she believed I hurt her more than helped her, which was false) and I said I'll just leave her be for a few months then come back when things are calmer. (I never did said how long to her)

But after 3 days of no contact she contacted me completely out of the blue as if we just met which suggests she still wants to keep in contact, but over the course of the next two weeks it would be a mix of ignoring me or sending hints (Such as one night she posted a picture saying she liked a boy on Facebook, then the next day at night she sent me a text saying a cuddle going to sleep would be brilliant right now) But whenever we talked it would be from 10 minutes to a hour maximum and then she'd just cut out mid-conversation and then ignore me for either the rest of the day or a few hours, the conversations were not dull but since breaking up she doesn't put in as much effort as I do when conversing which gets to me.

But that was 4 days ago, the next day after there was a big fight between her and her friend at college which upset her, she came to me for help but again just cut out mid-conversation without a word, I'm majorly confused about all this. From now I'm planning to just let her come to me, but then that may make her think I'm ignoring her. hmm..

I do want her back but with these mixed messages it's putting me off doing anything further, any help/advise will be massively appreciated.

Well she is using you as emotional security while she is going through the motions of healing and/or dating other people.

Not too much out of the ordinary here, she's trying to use you to get over you. Just imagine she just had NSA sex with someone who asked her to leave after, and she's using you emotionally to fill the emotional void while he filled her physical void.
