Miracle90 Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 This is regarding a female co-worker (she's a college sophomore too) who doesn't seem to care about relationships and keeps disappearing if she senses things are getting too serious. She never pays for dates, has gone after older men and has told me that a couple of time, she has walked away from a date; leaving the guy all alone and doesn't come back. Yet, she's only 21 years old. I'm not sure if whether to believe this. Do women like her exist? I got curious and asked her how she does that? She responded with an ''I've always known their weaknesses since I was 14'' and how she basically has always gotten what she wants, not the other way around but knows how to keep a low profile too.

Maybe the reason we might think players are mainly men is because rarely do we hear about guys being played with and getting their feelings hurt? Usually it's young girls and women getting emotional attached for a long time while the players leaves her after sex. A man might get hurt if played with but probably get over it quickly.

I'm having a hard time how can a then 14 year-old (she told me that's how old she was the first time she used a guy; he was only 2 years older than her) girl use a young guy at the time??

Too many times our parents and grandparents teach us to not give it away to any guy, don't fall for their lines and be aware of the sharks out there.

I have known people that young who were already hardened criminals so it is no shock for a 14 year old to be a hardened player.
colombiana28 Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 what always shocks me is when people think "female players" are the ones who string men along and "friend zone" them, getting them to pay for stuff but never putting out. in my experience (and I've known a lot of them), the TRUE female players are the ones who have casual sex, but don't like a guy enough to make him her boyfriend. So he catches feelings and she uses the excuse "Well hey at least he's still getting sex" to justify stringing him along emotionally and eventually hurting him (because she doesn't want anything serious). Which is basically what a male player is, genders reversed. It's just females assume that any guy wouldn't mind having a f/ckbuddy.

Men don't get over heartache any faster than women do. In fact, in my experience, if a guy really falls, he can take it much worse than women sometimes.

When she briefly told me about her first time, I nearly felt like throwing up. Apparently, she had no emotions for the guy she gave her virginity to and even had someone else put sleeping pills on his drink. She then stole his money he was earning as a part-time worker at a local store and from his parents and ditched him that same day.
Woggle Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 yeah, but i think men and woman that act like players are oftn people that did not get over the hurt that somone did to them . so they go around paying everyone for it. or thinking that by being like that no one can hurt them ever again and they have the control. i think some also are people that saw their mom or dad doing treating people like that or cheating and they grow up promising themselves that they will not let that happen to them. so they go true life like player not trusting so no one can get to close to have them and hurt them or cheat on them. its sad. when you are young it may look like its working but once you are getting older people will have less patience with you etc. so it will not work much anymore and you may end up lonely with all your tricks. so i think at some point it good for those players to ask themselves why they are being like that and get help before it effect their whole life. I fully agree. 90% of the players I have known were screwed over by somebody. 2

Young people with moldable minds are the most susceptible. Victoria's Secret was marketing a bra to women a year or so ago called "The Player", glorifying selfish, immoral behavior. 1

Will she eventually reform? I asked her if she actually felt bad for the first guy she used or the others and said No, I like it.

They are different than the promiscuous girls that get bad reputation for sleeping around because they are liked and tend to be selective. The maneaters are actually women that have charisma, just like the players that try to get into our pants, guys really like her personality but it's all an act to lead them and break their hearts. I think something bad must had happened to that woman the OP is referring to. Maybe that woman was hurt by a male figure in her early years and is taking it out on men she dates.
