tre101 Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 I received an email from my ex this weekend. We haven't contacted each other since the break up 3 months ago. She said she made a trip to the town where I live and heard something that made her really concerned about me and that she wanted to talk to me. When I asked her she said she's heard I've been hooking up with girls from clubs. I told her it was rubbish. I haven't even been with anyone since our break up. I've been on a few dates with a girl but ended it because she wanted something more serious than I did. She won't tell me who she heard it from. I reckon it's her friends (they live in my town but I only briefly know them) and they are trying to make her think I'm this awful person for some reason... Why would they do that? UPDATE: She has emailed back and told me it was a guy mate of hers who told her this. I'm quite surprised to be honest as this was the one I got on with best. I bumped into him in a pub a month ago and I happened to be with the girl I briefly dated. NO idea at all why he would lie.

Lostfairie Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 I don't know if it was even a "lie." He probably just said he ran into you and some girl in a bar (or club or whatever). It probably just upset her so she confronted you about it but made it much more vague... Bc people do that sometimes. All it means is she's jealous. Maybe she wants to be back with you, maybe she doesn't, but I don't think the guy has much to do with this at all. 3

I told her "you dumped me and I was free to do whatever I wanted. What I chose to do, with whomever I chose to do it with was none of your business". It ended that conversation pretty quickly.
