underwater2010 Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 So I was working this past Saturday at the bar. There is a regular that comes in and is friends with owner. Nice enough guy. Big, built and well to do in life. He is ordering shots at my server station and when I walk up I ask how he is doing. He says "OK, my wife and I are getting a divorce." I said I was sorry for him and may I ask why. He says "I cheated on her for the 19th time and she has had enough." I said "I don't blame her." I figured what an opportunity to pick a serial cheaters brain. Since the my FWH's affair I am always curious to figure out what makes a cheater tick. Here are some things I learned: 1. His excuse is he has high testosterone. LOL 2. His wife did not deny him sex 3. This is his second wife and she knew he had a history of cheating. 4. His latest conquest was just dumped. OW for 3 yrs. Set up with vehicle, schooling paid for, house etc. The reason he dumped her....she was cheating on him. LOL Guess in his case what is good for the goose isn't so good for the Gander. And an ex employee of the place I work at, so I probably know her. 5. Most women are all talk. They want the attention but not the action. Probably the worst thing about the night, he was buying shots for a 24 yr olds bday and trying to hookup with the bday girl's mom right in front of the father. How proud he was when she gave him her number. The he spent about a 1/2 hr trying to woe some like 22 yr old twit. All in all, I wanted to vomit several times. But my favorite line to him..."They really fall for that crap?" 6

Mr. Lucky Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 All in all, I wanted to vomit several times. But my favorite line to him..."They really fall for that crap?" Having spent 30 years in the restaurant and nightclub business, I'll agree with Road - yes they do. And no one holds a gun to the head of the 10-20-30 years younger girls that will hook up with these guys. To this day, I remain amazed at the aphrodisiac qualities of money... Mr. Lucky 1
HtotheN Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 He will wind up alone someday though. Pathetic, IMO. 1

Author underwater2010 Posted April 2, 2014 Author Posted April 2, 2014 Saw this man twice at the bar this past week. First time with a woman half his age. Did not even talk. Second time he proceeded to hit on my newest server. She under 21 and ate his words up like no tomorrow. "Do you know how beautiful you are?" "Do you work out?" "Are you going to be at the gym if I show up?" When do these girls wise up and realize that "Do you know how beautiful you are?" translates to..."I am twice your age and want to get into your pants?" Boy oh boy...are we raising insecure girls in our society. She is beautiful...no personality and no brains...but beautiful. Is that where is insecurity is from?

Boy oh boy...are we raising insecure girls in our society. She is beautiful...no personality and no brains...but beautiful. Is that where is insecurity is from? I don't think it is a new thing at all. We condition girls from an early age to seek affirmation validation of their looks. This has been going on from the beginning of civilized society. They aren't falling for those lines because they are necessarily insecure, they are just responding to what they have been taught to respond to within society's expectations. Later, after experience and gained wisdom, they see the truth of what is happening... sometimes. My MOW is vain and loves people telling her how pretty she is, and she is 42. Beautiful woman. While I don't compliment her looks that often(just not my style), when I do it is like an aphrodisiac to her.
Sub Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Women know men are more superficial, more about looks when it comes to finding someone to hook up with, have a relationship with, etc. I don't really think it's about "falling for crap" as much as knowing that's what they can expect, and all they're going to get, from a guy. Especially at a place like a bar. I'm sure there are some insecure women, but there are definitely women who know it's crap and are patient enough to play along and deal with it in case there are more layers to the guy. I don't envy being a single woman, at all.
Author underwater2010 Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 I guess I would be more intrigued by a guy that just stated "Maybe not tonight...but in the future I am going to get into your pants." But then I value honesty more than "hot air". I really need to get away from serving. I have really become jaded to relationships and how they start. 2

While I don't compliment her looks that often(just not my style), when I do it is like an aphrodisiac to her. Pretty much what I was going to say in a nutshell. Beauty has always been revered and it gets results with minimal effort. Having raised a D I remember seeing it within her friends as early as Jr High. Girls learn to rely on their beauty and what it can get them and your server could have been looking for a H, a date, or a hookup. Who knows. It's really sad though. I hate the fact women are pretty much trained by society to think so little of themselves they end up like that. Also it creates a set of people who figure out how to use that reliance on their beauty to exploit them. It's frightening people can be so manipulative. I take people as being honest but I also learned in my late teens to be wary. It's the girls who haven't learned the wary trick that worry me. 1
