12123 Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 So there's this girl I want to talk to. I have her number and stuff. We go to the same college together, and we say "hi" to each other when we see each other, but she's always with her friend. Thats it. I texted her before this year for a total of two weeks. Would it be weird if I just text her out of the blue? Or should I wait for an opportunity to spark a convo next time I see her alone?
felicity1 Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Why wait for her to be alone to talk to her? Next time you see her and she's with friends just say hi. Every time you see her show her that you want to make contact and if she is interested she will make the effort to talk to you. Do this before you text her. 2
thompkevin Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 It won't be weird to text her out of the blue. That's the best thing about texting. You can text anyone at anytime. However, if you want a reply, make sure you make the text interesting. Give her something to chew on. Like say "Hey I just saw something that reminded me of you, how you doing?" 1
felicity1 Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 Sorry I didn't read your thread carefully. OK you already say hi. So try to extend the talk a little more each time. You've got to be assertive but not forceful.
felicity1 Posted October 28, 2013 Posted October 28, 2013 I think texting is not direct enough. If you haven't spoken much to each other you need to approach her in person.
Mediocreatitsworst Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Text her! I'm sure she'd be surprised but happy to hear from u 1
d0nnivain Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 The next time you see her in person, say hi & try to say anything else . . . talk about how your school's team did, whether she's going to come campus wide event . . . anything basic. Then text her the next day . . . because it won't be so out of the blue. Say something like Glad I ran into on the quad, would it be OK if I called you sometime? Then call her. 1
