My best friend and I both know this guy. Neither of us see him that often because she lives an hour away and while I live in the same town as him, I don't frequent the same places he does so I never run into him except on campus.

So Bill was at a concert my friend and I went to. My friend disappeared for a while and during this time I took it upon myself to talk to Bill. I got the feeling he was being kinda flirty. I've always felt like he kinda liked me, but never felt comfortable doing anything about it since we don't see eachother often enough to make anything of it.

And then later my friend comes back and we BOTH talk to Bill and he invites us to a party. On our way to the party, my friend reveals her crush on Bill to me. I don't tell her I like Bill. We can't find the party (thank goodness) and we end up going home. When we're home she says, "Oh well. All that would have happened would be me getting drunk and kissing Bill."

I couldn't reply to that. I don't think Bill likes her. i don't know for sure though.

So, my question is should I pursue him or let it go since my friend has a crush on him?

P.s. his name isn't bill

Just be up front with your friend and explain you also find yourself attracted to Bill. Both of you should have the same opportunity to pursue a possible relationship.

you should pursue him if you like him and you think he likes you.

remember, when women compete for a man they have no female friends. "Bill" is up for grabs, assuming he is available, so it is every girl for herself.

In my opinion, it is harder to find a best friend then to find a boyfriend. Men will come to go, but "true friends" will always be there. Therefore, I will really wouldn't let this guy get in between your relationship. NO MAN IS WORTH IT!

true. i figure i can find someone else i'd like as well or more than him, so i don't think i should harm our friendship by having a fling with this guy.
