I met a girl online about 3 months ago. I then got intoduced to someone else and so we got close and I got with her. She left me a few weeks ago and I have been talking to the first one again. (we spoke now and again when I was with the other girl, but it is now quite clear she likes me as she has since told me a couple of times!) She seems a really nice girl and we seem to get on well (albeit it just over the computer/texts). We have arranged to meet Today for the first time, we are going for a coffee then maybe a movie. The trouble is, my first ever GF (last year) had major depression. This new girl has the same and I know how tough it was with my first at times. This girl also has social anxiety and other issues. She also lives 25 miles away, so seeing her (I work till 9 everyday) will be tough. Should I still give it A go and see how it goes, or do you think it's over before even starting? Thanks for any advice

i dont know do you feel ready to give it a go because you genuinely like her????.....anxiety and depression arent easy for anyone to deal with especially family lovers and friends of people who live with it every day.....depends i guess if she has a handle on her issues an dcan identify situations that put her ill at ease and has strategies to comabt them...i am schizo affective and i am on the depressive side soemtimes manic...ocd .....i normally know and identify when i feel unwell..and can combat....i have learned to fight.....and no i dont beat people up but i fght depression and my other issues quite a bit...

i have a fair amount of resiliance but i can sink quite low quickly because my issues compound agaisnt each other.............i was able to maintain and have a pretty good relationship for fifteen years and one for three years before that if anything....i fight too hard, i havent been the one to walk away from a relationship..i have ocd capacity on quitting i dont quit..........so issues in my opinion dont have to be a reason not to have a loving relationship with someone.....there has to be a pretty high level of understanding betwen partners though.....signs behaviors etc..are you ready to go through it again....with a new girl if you have done it already..deb
