prettypie Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 Im in love with one of my flat mates. He doesnt feel the same. We have been seeing each other but he wants to see others too. I knew this but I like being with him so much that I comprimised myself and carried on seeing him, pretending I only wanted a casual relationship too. It couldnt be further from the truth, I love him so much. We had a massive row and now arent talking (this happens all the time btw an i get real upset). I want to get over my feelings for him and I wish I could do no contact but how do i do that when we live together and share friends?
bebop Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 I'd move out and get independent, you'll feel better immediately. I once lived in a very small village where everyone knows and bumps into each other all the time. One big flat, shall we say. I had ended a relationship but had to deal with running into the guy every day, usually more than once a day. He also made an effort to bump into me constantly. It was too much, and I moved. Life improved drastically as soon as I did. Good luck.
Author prettypie Posted December 12, 2004 Author Posted December 12, 2004 unfortunately moving out isnt an option. Im living in college accomodation and have paid untill july
tattoomytoe Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 sub-let if you can, or read your lease agreement thoroughly and make sure there are no ways out. other than that, you will have to adjust.
