irc333 Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Lately, and this has been happening a lot. But I've seen women put some kind of ending disclaimer on their profile saying, "If I don't respond, it means I'm not interested" Or some even say, "If I don't respond, please take the hint and don't email me again a week later, it means I wasn't interested". Gentleman , let me ask you , when you see this in a woman's profile, do you find this off putting?
LizzieZ Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Well, I'm a girl, but if I was looking through some guy's profile and saw this, yeah, I'd find that off-putting and wouldn't bother with contacting them. But then, I don't really have experience with dating sites, maybe it's common and sort of normal now?
Mascara Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 I saw this on a guy's profile yesterday, and yes it's offputting. Not that I make first contact anyway. When I've seen it previously on a male profile, it usually means he's new and thinks he's going to get inundated - it tends to vanish pretty quickly. 1

Gentleman , let me ask you , when you see this in a woman's profile, do you find this off putting? I wouldn't even bother taking the half-minute to send an email. It's not the best way to end an otherwise normal-looking profile, in my opinion. It suggests that the person thinks they are hot stuff when in fact they are probably tools.
Criticality Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 No, it's not off putting at all. If guys got a couple of dozen emails/messages a day, spent a good hour or two looking at them, only had time to respond to half, and then a few days later got more messages from the guys you didnt have time to reapond to wanting sex/friendship/dates/marriage. Then guys would start to write stuff like that on their profile to. It doesn't mean that the girl is shallow, rude or mean. It's just a consequence of how many people respond to them on some sites. Signing up for a profile on a dating site, doesn't mean you're obligated to spend hours every day on guys more or less spamming you. Try to make an inviting female profile yourself, and see how bad it is.
Criticality Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 And keep in mind, that many of the guys who write 2 days later asking why she didnt reply, are the same guys whose original message was: "Hey you look relly fine I could do you all nite babe If u wanna f**k some time lemme know I'm discreit and kno how 2 treet a woman 6 ft 8 inch and I'm rippd! How big r u boobs"
SincereOnlineGuy Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 I wouldn't even bother taking the half-minute to send an email. R O F L !!! No wonder people are always complaining about OLD... when you tend to put forth 30 seconds of your life in the way of an investment, in something you believe should reward you for a lifetime.
Phoe Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 I personally would not bother messaging someone who put that on their profile. Pretty tactless IMO
