irc333 Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 I have to say, I was just on OK Cupid...I contacted this woman and she responded back and even emphasized that she'd really like to get to know me. We talked back and forth some, then she asked me what I did for work and I told her. She then replied, "Sorry, but we just have different lifestyles" And I said, "Wow, that's a sudden turn of events, what do you mean by different lifestyles?" Well, she laid into me with this: ===== Ok, im just going to tell you as a reference and dont mean to be rude, just so for next time. i probably make 4 times of what u make a year. im working towards my 2nd Masters degree. i drive a 2014 bmw, your questions as of whether I go out in Ocala and party??? So lame!! i take a plane just for a weekend to go Dont make lame and stupid questions if you dont want strong answers!! ====== Wow, I mean, wow! LOL She never talked about how a pretentious snob she was in her profile or described that her "lifestyle must match hers", in fact, she never indicated her "status" of what she was all about IN her profile. Was just a basic garden variety profile. Could've been a wacko. lol Now excuse me while I board my luxury hovercraft to get some dippin dots lol 2
headinthecloud Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 There's the reason she's single! So sorry. There are normal people out there, don't give up. 2
cif Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Sure she does. Sounds like she's looking for a sugar daddy. Wrong OLD site. 1
RonaldS Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 I would have replied with 'Further proof that money doesn't buy class wasn't needed, but thanks anyway for providing it.' 7
pteromom Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 She is working on her 2nd masters, and can't even capitalize, write out "you", or come up with better descriptors than "lame" and "stupid"? You sure meet some winners!!! And - don't let this affect you. You can do better. 3
ExpatInItaly Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 She's full of it. She sounds like she's looking for a sugar daddy to fund the life she dreams (emphasis on DREAMS) of having. She's working towards her 2nd Master's degree, but has such crappy syntax that she can't type coherently? Yeah, right. A 2nd Master's in Fantasyland University. 1
Author irc333 Posted October 21, 2013 Author Posted October 21, 2013 Yeah, I think she's only finding someone to FUND her dreams. Where she lives, which is a quite a BFE area...she claims she's leaving town soon after her daughter graduates High School. According to her, the place in which she grew up is "low profile and ugly" and is too good to enjoy shopping at a local plaza mall. lol. She's full of it. ScienceGal Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Wow! How rude! I personally don't "party" a lot. So, if someone asked me that, I'd just say no and explain the things I like to do. If there is a real incompatibility, that's fine, it happens. No need to be uppity and condescending. She is not any better than you; in fact, I feel bad for people who equate money with happiness.
tlegend Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Haha, this made me chuckle. Thanks for the laugh!
ls32ssibm Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Willing to bet it's a fake profile run by some trollin' guy. 2
theothersully Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 What a ridiculous response. As someone with a few extra dollars from disciplined living, I have to say she'll be broke and begging on the streets of Ocala in no time!! I'd have given her a few financial lessons in parting... 1) A new car is the worst possible use of money 2) Education does not directly correlate to income (or grammar?) 3) Flying out of FL for a weekend every weekend is a grand easily with hotel, food and flight. Probably more. She has a $52k+ weekend entertainment budget? Another financial misstep. Sounds like she doesn't have any of these things. Also sounds paycheck to paycheck and low end if she's talking about "making 4x what you do" instead of net worth. Example... my income is -$60k - yes, negative $60k so far this year. Doesn't mean I can't waste my money on a 2014 BMW, or even worse, finance or lease one. Not much correlation between income and net worth. Trashy chick wishes she had these things... she probably made them all up. 2
theothersully Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Further, there was this guy at one of my small businesses last year. Ask what he did for a living and he would just say, I'm a roofer, with a thick Brooklyn accent, dirty jeans and work boots. He actually owned one of the largest roofing companies in nyc and would spend about $2000 a week in my small business... personal money of his. People like her really annoy the hell out of me, too. Well, she'll be alone a while.
Leigh 87 Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 She's lying. If she was that accomplished, she would likely have switched on to how to act socially acceptable and pleasant to people. Unless she is super intelligent but has no social or emotional intelligence. It happens. I would say she's just bull*****ing. Highly educated and truly intelligent women don't sound like that... They realise it sounds really off colour:sick:, even when the grammar is more precise:lmao: 1
Eternal Sunshine Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 I second the "she is lying and is full of ****" posts.
pipiopi Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 What a jerk. But I will say this. Successful, attractive women do not need online dating. If she were that well off - first I would ask how she got that far with that kind of grammar. I don't care if it's not a school paper, if you have almost 2 Master's degrees, you know how to construct a sentence. Secondly, I would respond with "you're a c*nt". Because she is. There's a difference between being straight-forward and being a horrible person.
Author irc333 Posted October 22, 2013 Author Posted October 22, 2013 Right, and all she is is an RN (Registered Nurse) and I know how much nurses make in that location. What a ridiculous response. RonaldS Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 What a jerk. But I will say this. Successful, attractive women do not need online dating. I disagree. I know tons of beautiful, successful women who do OLD. Well, let me be more specific...they go on Tinder so they can control who talks to them. But they do it, because successful people tend to be busy people. In large cities, meeting people is easy, but there are also only so many hours in a day. After working, going to the gym or yoga, hanging out with their girls, maybe some family obligations, there just isn't much time left to be out running around setting up relationships. Busy (successful) people appreciate convenience. Again, are they on PoF? No. OKC? Probably not. Tinder? Yes, all over the place. 1
WhiteButton Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Based on her answer i think she is probably lying manipulative psycho. Bro you didnt dodged a bullet you dodged a ****** grenade. I wish all the weird chicks like this are as obvious and you save your self the time and effort to take her out on a date. I say you lucked out and seen the red flags before you put any effort into this girl.
dweebette Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 At the very least, she showed you that you're better off for not having to waste anymore time with such a negative and shallow person! If finding someone with the same income and/or education level (if hers is even true) is the most important feature about who she dates, there are better, more specific, dating sites that might have a better filter for what she is looking for... Instead of getting in the way of us "common folk" from OkCupid . Good luck!
TheBladeRunner Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Finding the best online resource for dating is like finding the best spoon to dig your way to china. Tinder????? Does OLD get any more superficial than this? And for the record, I like to use a butter knife to chop wood. Har, har, har
TheBladeRunner Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 OP, let's face it, on the internet we can be anything we want. I prefer to be me, because "me" is OK. It's a shame she had to be that way, it sucks, but I have found that OLD is full of fakes, psychos, and people that have so many HEAVY life issues that I don't want to deal with them. Instead of names like Match, OKC, POF, etc., they should have names like "damagedpeopledepot.com" or "Headcases"R"Us.com".
Author irc333 Posted October 23, 2013 Author Posted October 23, 2013 Right. CHances are these people are reclusive and thus aren't properly socialized, but can easily sit at home all weekend behind the computer on the OK Cupid site or whatever site and be who they want because it's much easier for them that way.
