mrssnoflakesmom Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 I've been friends with this guy for a few years now and I finally made my feelings about him clear this summer. He has never told me if he shares the same feelings that I have, but he has shown affections like holding my hand and giving me hugs before I leave as well as introducing me to his parents and we hang out once a week. He says he can't date because of how busy he is with college (He is in the engineering field), and he doesn't want to date because he is afraid that it would just end in break-up because neither of us are ready to get married. I'm not sure how to continue with our friendship because I will always want more out of it. Should I wait for him even if I'm not sure if he even has feelings for me?
Versacehottie Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 continue the friendship, be open to it changing to more, but date others at the same time. Don't "wait" for him. Also don't always be at his beck & call.

scorpiogirl Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 No I don't think you should continue it. Not because of any spite but because it will protect you and your feelings. Unless you're a robot, you won't be able to just be his friend without getting your feelings hurt.
crederer Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 I mean this with the most respect.....is it possible he is gay?
Author mrssnoflakesmom Posted October 20, 2013 Author Posted October 20, 2013 He isn't gay, but my thinking is he is just afraid of getting into a relationship because he's never had one before. He always put school as his top priority and is always doing school work because he has a huge scholarship to a great university and has to maintain over a 3.5 gpa or it gets taken away from him.
