21 years married yesterday.

H gave me a Thankyou card. He wrote:

Thankyou for loving me,

thankyou for my past, present and future,

thankyou for sticking with me,

thankyou for being my wife.

He also gave me some presents too but the card meant more. He isn't demonstrative so it means a lot. It was a good day :).

That is great! :bunny: After 21 years and still appreciating you, it is definitely a good thing that he writes that to you.

Congrats on the 21 years, and here's to another 21! :)

Congrats, WW. You deserve it. The compassion you demonstrate here (and in real life, I'm sure) is remarkable.

I love good news posts on this site, I always hope they don't get moved as they might give hope to those going through early days. Not long after D day I was questioning if I had ever been loved over our 23 years together, H went to his wardrobe and brought out a big holdall, inside were cards, letters, tickets and allsorts of keepsakes from our time together. He pulled a dried old forget me not out of his wallet that I had given him when we first met, he had transferred it into each new one. I cannot tell you how touched I was.

Despite all that we have gone through, we are strong and we are in love, not just loved. H says he feels sick when he thinks about how he almost lost us, so do I, but not too often. We are too busy making new good memories. I hope life is good for you W W long may it continue.

Wow that's so amazing! I love to hear stories of true love still going strong after so many years. Especially with all the negative stigmas sorounding love! That's amazing:)

Waterwoman, I'm having a difficult time putting into words how incredibly happy I am for you!

Often times it is the quiet demonstrations of commitment and love that speaks VOLUMS to our hearts and souls*

Thanks folks

I keep catching myself grinning like a cheshire cat!

CIH - the quiet committment is what matters. I don't need or want high passion or drama, I want calm, deep loving connection and trust. I want to know our marriage is the foundation of our lives, not the pinnacle.

What he wrote in that card is really sweet. I also found that the smallest things that my H did made the most difference and meant the most to me. :)
