melibrub Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 So next year I plan to move in with one of my best friends (who is a guy and isn't gay). Only problem is that I have a boyfriend and not sure if he will move with us or not since we go to different schools. My boyfriend said he has no issues about this but I can sometimes see that he does. Not only that but we will be 1hr apart from each other since I will move to a different city, and never been in a long distance relationship. I know the driving distance doesn't seem too bad, but I wonder if this could ruin our relationship?
MalachiX Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Well you have two different issues. One is the hour long distance. The other is that you're living with a straight guy. I've dealt with both. In the case of distance, it's a hard thing. One hour is doable though. At least you're not across the state or the country. Give it a try and see how it goes. As for living with another guy, that can be difficult. Even though I rationally knew my GF loved me, I just felt a bit uncomfortable knowing she was living with a straight guy. That said, I GOT OVER IT. I basically just had to tell myself that this was MY issue and not HERS. If I'm going to be in love with someone, that means trusting them.
