crederer Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 What are your thoughts on women dating while pregnant with another person's child?
tlegend Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 (edited) What are your thoughts on women dating while pregnant with another person's child? I would NOT date a woman who was pregnant with someone else's kid. I'd probably sleep with her though. Sad, but true. Edited October 16, 2013 by a LoveShack.org Moderator 1
Author crederer Posted October 16, 2013 Author Posted October 16, 2013 haha I ask because I have a female friend (im a guy) who is 4 months pregnant. She's a bigger girl so you cant tell yet. But she's trying to find a boyfriend and I'm trying to give positive advice to her. But I don't really know what "positive" advice is for her at this stage.
FitChick Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Tell her to start contacting adoption lawyers to find a good couple to adopt her child.

Positive advice would be something along the following: You chose to have this baby. When you made that choice, you simultaneously chose to live for the kid. I am a firm believer that when you create life, you are responsible for the upbringing of that child. That upbringing includes being the best mother you can be. Being the best mother you can be is subjective, obviously, but I feel that if her worries are trying to find dick or a boyfriend 4 months along....she's not really thinking WTF she's going to do in another 5 months. 1
Raena Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 I know someone who is has met and dated or married not one but THREE different women who were pregnant with another man's child at the time. In his defense, he raised each of the children and still treats them as his own. I find it bizarre. Why not just find a woman and have his own child? I mean, helping a friend in need is one thing, but becoming father to 3 different children who are not your own is just odd.
AlliceInWL Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 There is a show about this. "Dating & Pregnant." I watched part of an episode and thought it was a very strange concept. I've never had a baby, but if I were pregnant, I think my priorities, relationship-wise, would be something like this: 1) my baby's health 2) my health 3) my relationship with the father 4) my relationship with my support network (family/friends) 5) new relationships I know men who have dated while their exes were pregnant, so I don't see why a woman shouldn't be able to date while pregnant. But I also have never seen a successful new dating relationship come out of a situation where someone was pregnant. Dating is very stressful at times, as is having a child. I would recommend keeping them separate.
AHaze Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 The guy who she's dating would have to be a complete and utter desperate FOOL of the highest degree... the absolute master mug of all mugs. 1
Keke1 Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 The guy who she's dating would have to be a complete and utter desperate FOOL of the highest degree... the absolute master mug of all mugs. Lol dude seriously. Lol
Ninjainpajamas Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 I'd probably sleep with her though. Sad, but true. I wouldn't be interested at all, that's just a little too creepy and repulsive to me...I would just have these images in my head of the thing rolling around inside her belly all embryo like, doing cartwheels like it was in a washing machine, trying to bite off the tip of my... I mean, and just to be out there "dating" during this process? I mean where the hell is this guy at? and what the hell are you thinking? Definitely not my bag, gives me the shivers just thinking about it. Give her a bowl of icecream and lock her in the bedroom...save your fellow men.
AHaze Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Lol dude seriously. Lol Don't you agree? He would have to be the lord of losers... the massiah of morons.
Author crederer Posted October 16, 2013 Author Posted October 16, 2013 The guy who she's dating would have to be a complete and utter desperate FOOL of the highest degree... the absolute master mug of all mugs. He doesn't know. She's not showing. But I basically told her to ease up and focus on the pregnancy and she turned it around like I was jealous or something (which is completely bogus). I feel bad for her and the guy she's dating.

I was talking hypothetically... you didn't mention that she had actually found a guy desperate enough to date her, now it's just beyond the joke. Tell him, say "eh hmm, not being funny dude but... you're poking fetus... yeah, she's got a bun in the oven... carrying passengers... ya'know.. she's brewing brood".

The guy she is seeing doesn't know yet...but will pretty soon though even without the OP saying anything. Just because the guy is seeing a pregnant woman doesn't make him a mug. Who says he's wining an dining her, or is going to put his name on the birth certificate or is going to ever change a nappy or has plans to be a father or be on the scene when the baby's bawling at 3am. as for her...pregnant women get horny. Many don't want to put their sex life on hold for the next 3 or whatever yrs and another set of helping hands and income will come in handy. 2
