Mayorwasp23 Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 I work at a furniture store. There is about 11 people who work there. Last week we got a new co worker who works at the front desk. I thought she was really cute. I seen her eating by herself at lunch I went up and introduced myself and we talked. She was pretty shy at first but after a few days she started to be more friendly and outgoing. I was thinking this chick is pretty cool. On Thursday we had a company meeting and she stood right by me, and I noticed some of the other female coworkers gave a double look at that. Then on Friday she asks if I wanted to go out for lunch. I said sure why, not. She drives, and I'm thinking that this is turning out well. We stop at Arby's eat inside and asks if I have facebook, and has me write down my fb url. Then we head out and then she starts telling me all this personal stuff about her. I just sat there taking it in and I heard she's married and is one month pregnant. I was dissapointed and kept saying Oh. I asked why she wasn't wearing a ring and she said her husband was still saving up for one. Later I accepted her on facebook. It shows that she graduated in June and it shows her husband at her graduation. It showed that he's been in the army since 2000. He already had a 9 year old son, what was he doing messing with such a young girl? That's one thing that really gets me mad is older guys with kids already who date young girls and get them pregnant. I'm jealous and mad, so besides quitting my job what options do I have?
Author Mayorwasp23 Posted October 14, 2013 Author Posted October 14, 2013 [/b] You have a few options the best being, stay away from this "young girl", who is married and pregnant. You certainly don't need to quit your job as nothing has happened. Just stop the going out to lunch, fb routine. I'm sure you can find another girl. Right? Should I block her from faceboook?
Author Mayorwasp23 Posted October 14, 2013 Author Posted October 14, 2013 She's a special kind of stupid, isn't she? Getting pregnant by her husband - who can't even afford a freakin wedding ring? How smart. Bring a kid into their poverty. That should help greatly. What could you possibly be jealous over? These two are idiots. I'm jealous because she's easy to talk with and very attractive. I tend to fault the guy more because he's a lot older.

I'm jealous and mad, so besides quitting my job what options do I have? There's no reason to be jealous and mad. It's not really even a rejection because (it sounds like) you never really had a chance anyway. Why are you so butthurt over this? An older guy marrying a younger girl is natural and is only not the norm because of recent social changes. Biologically, it is still normal. Maybe they are stupid for getting married without money (if that's even true....as you said, you just met the girl...so it's certainly possible that she's not being entirely honest). But that is her choice to make, not yours.
