I have a male friend of mine that has a rather attractive female friend. Apparently she actually looks like the celebrity, Barbra Streisand...spittin' image of her, too.

Thing is...she HATES being told that, and if as a guy, if you tell her this....you can forget any kind of date with her.

Male friend of mine had his "game" going and knew this upfront and told her , "Hey, you know who you remind me of?"

And with the pissed off expression already on her face she said, "What?"

And he named off some off the wall celebity that looked nothing like her and she laughed.

So his game worked.

Telling a girl she looks like a celebrity is cheesey -- let alone barbara streisand.

Yeah, I would not consider "You look like Barbra Streisand" to be a compliment.

More to the point, you know how many schmucks have told her that thinking they were somehow being original?

Anyway irc, I think you ought to file this one away instead: If you are intending to charm a woman, the more likely she is to have heard it a lot before, the less likely you should be mentioning it--otherwise you'll be grouped in with all those other chumps who said the very same thing to her before.

I told a woman she reminded me of martha stewart cause she was a good cook and was in prison.

I was absolutely crushed one time, way back in my early twenties, when my longtime crush told me, "you know who you look like?" And he said the name of an actress who I consider to be dog ugly.

He followed up with "what? I had the biggest thing for her in high school!" That didn't make it any better.
