mammasita Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Does having sex change the dynamics of a "relationship" for a man? It's been just over a month now, a couple dates a week (sometimes three). I think things are going extremely well. I guess I'm just curious and perhaps a little insecure about what really goes on in a mans head once you finally have sex when you truly have feelings for the woman. On the one hand I don't want to have sex without a commitment. On the other hand I feel like I'm acting like a naive virgin. It's not like I'm a 16 year old child who's never had sex before LOL. I mean I really have no reason to doubt this mans intentions. He's amazing and patient and willing to get to know me.....Which in itself makes me want to rip his ****ing clothes off. He is absolutely wonderful, it's just my irrational woman thoughts getting the better of me. Talk to me!

If he asks - and I don't think in your case he has, he seems happy to wait - I'd normally say that it's not about him (wanting to make sure of his intentions), but more about me (wanting to make sure that I'm ready for the next stage with him). I choose not to sleep with everyone I date, if he's not okay with that then we're probably not compatible anyway.

For me, prolonged waiting is a problem. I want to know that she's interested in me in that way so I don't waste time getting strung along(been there, done that).

Yes he's said a number of times he's not in a rush and we have time, so that's not an issue.
