Normally wouldn't bother with someone in the workplace, but I think she's a temp, and even if she wasn't, she attractive enough to risk it.

Problem is we work in totally different departments. I can find an excuse to cross her path, but the thing is we've never even spoken before.

My question is how to go about this. I'm pretty sure she isn't married, but I'm not sure if she has a BF or not.

Is it too creepy to simply make small talk and then ask her out the very first time I speak to her?

Again, we don't work alongside each other, so my interaction with her is extremely limited. In fact, I will have to conjure up an excuse just to talk to her.

Also, not to sound conceited, but I think I've seen her "looking" at me. Not sure if I'm reading too far into it.

on the contrary i think working in separate departments is a good thing, less interaction, less gossip.

Yeah I'd say just go up to her, make conversation and end it with "we should grab coffee sometime"
