Having a partner so extremely inlove with you they tell the world, (it wasn't fake either this guy would cry from tears of happinesss) and are extremely over protective of you, by extreme, I mean extreme.

To not caring about you at all? What happened there?

I would say this would be something where the person really did feel that way at that time, but then their feelings changed.

Simple as that. Feelings change all the time, and often abruptly, it sucks.

I know with my ex there were problems when I was one minute madly in love, the next minute the opposite. It is weird.

Also, it could be something that happens during the honeymoon phase? And once that is over for them those strong feelings turn off.

Or, they weren't having their needs satisfied in whatever way and convinced themselves that they no longer are in love because of it.

So many possibilities.

I still think about a time when I tried to kick my ex out, and he begged and pleaded and said all the most beautiful things. It is still a mind f*** to this day. When he broke up with me he was really cold. 8 years together.

Yeah, some people are just like that. Like mellal said, feelings change and it's completely normal. And when some people express their feelings, it's seems extremely genuine and when you hear them you feel like they will never change.

IT could also be that he was just talking about his feelings at that moment. Maybe he didn't feel the kind of love that lasts for a long time. Or perhaps he is the kind of person who falls easily in love and easily out of love.

It's hard to nail down. People lose interest, fail to communicate, don't know what they want, or assume that when the honeymoon chemistry fades that the love fades with it.

It's best to just accept that it happened and you'll never know why. I had to. My ex went from wanting to live together to throwing me away because her feelings shifted. I was convinced that we were just experiencing a disconnect...like all couples do. Just a time when the intense honeymoon "in love" feeling faded. But you know what? Convincing myself of that didn't help.

Knowing that people's feelings can change, that people would rather quit than try, that someone could throw me away so easily...it didn't help. It just made me think about it more.

It sucks, but you just have to forget about it.

Change of heart, feelings fade..... too many factors/reasons/excuses.

Whatever it is.

It's over.

melell I think it was this one.. we kept fighting in the end. What does this mean? Is he still inlove with me just blinded by the fights? I know for a fact he still loves me I just can't get him to open up. Not that we ever talk.
