7 months nc with this girl and I had another dream ugh she won't go away :(

Sorry to hear that. I swear it gets better if you do your best to keep yourself busy and forget.

I've been 4 months on super limited contact (can't go full NC until this week) and it's been slow, but she doesn't dominate my thoughts anymore. I still have dreams and reminders, but she's gradually becoming a ghost.

You'll get there.

I recall those debilitating dreams. A few months ago I had a dream about her for three consecutive days. I could believe it, 3 days in a row. That whole week was he'll to say the least. Fast forwarding to now, I had a dream about her, we were back together but in my dream I was not happy of being back together with her. You see, this is my subconscious telling me that I just don't want her back and that I'm slowly moving forward. We are all working towards that, be gentle with yourself and keep taking it a day at a time.

You're not alone. My girlfriend of 5 years left me 3 months ago. Every time I start to think she's fading from my thoughts I have a dream that we are still together and I wake up feeling terrible. I know these things take time but I just want it over already. Whenever I dream of her I spend the following day desperately wanting to make contact. I obsess over what she is doing with her life and who she has replaced me with. It sucks but I've been here before and with personal experience i know that one day she will be a distant memory. The same will apply to you. Someday you will meet someone new and the girl who broke your heart wont matter anymore, you'll have a new heartbreaker in your life.

I have dreamt of my ex too. It's not that you still want them but you can't help all the memories. Best to accept it and not dwell.

It's your subconscious working out issues. It's a good thing.
