Hello, I'm at 2 months BU and 2 months NC. I've been going to therapy for a couple of weeks now and I can't say it's helping, but it's only been 2 weeks! I thought I would share something my therapist has had me do.

List 3 things that were good today. This could be anything. The sky looked pretty, I looked good today, etc.

Now list 1 bad thing about the day. I'm guessing a lot of it is going to be "I miss my ex! I cried a lot today."

Now take the bad thing and list 3 good things that could come out of the bad thing.

I'll use mine for yesterday as an example.

1. I started watching the new season of Breaking Bad.

2. I took a picture of myself and it got a lot of positive response.

3. I'm on my second month of weight loss with no signs of slowing.

Bad. 1. I cried my eyes out after watching Breaking Bad. (We used to watch it together and we were very excited to watch the new season. We broke up one day before it aired. I've been putting off watching it for 2 months, I'm on episode 3 right now.)

1. I cried because I loved.

2. I was facing my emotions so that these feelings no longer have a hold on me.

3. I am attempting to regain control of my life.

I just thought It might help you guys and it wont cost you 80 bucks a session to see a therapist :p

Stay strong.

Thank you for sharing the exercise. I don't know if that would help with anxiety though. If your therapy gives any other info please share.
