Hopeful30 Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 (edited) I like this guy at my dads work. He just got hired about 2 months ago and I liked him immediately. I thought he liked me back as well, because we would always exchange these ridiculous smiles and would always laugh together. He would do me favours like buy me lunch or help me open a box I am having trouble opening (corny, I know) - he also doesn't do this for anyone else, so I thought he liked me. Anyways, we exchanged phone numbers and have been hanging out regularly for the past month. I was 100% sure he liked me until we had a text message conversation that didn't give me the answer I expected. To make things simpler: We have a random conversation... Me: "Well I like you and thought you would want some!" Him: "Awwww. That's so sweet." This threw me off entirely, yet we continue to hang out and he continues to be sweet. At the same time maybe hes just shy because if it were me, I would have said I liked him too. Am I over analyzing? Or have I been friendzoned? Or does he just want to get in my pants? LOL Thanks! yankees51988 Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 You are probably in the friend zone. That sounds like a way I would respond to a female friend that was in to me or a girl I just didn't want to hook up with. That doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't think you are unattractive though. Speaking from experience I have had girls that I was friends with that accidentally one day turned to us getting drunk and ripping each others clothes off, lol.
