It shows you are relevant (or not), it shows you have status. Also, people who care or are interested in others are usually friends on FB at some point. Don't hate the obvious.

I had to delete and block several people because they were constantly on my page, wanting to know where I checked in, what I was up to... calling me asking me about my Facebook status. It was crazy. Once I deleted them, they got very offended. So, there is truth to what you are saying.

I don't mean you objectively have any real status because you are relevant on Facebook, but that is the illusionary bait that people throw out there via a constant influx of pictures and daily "check-ins". And unfortunately, it contributes a lot towards people's perception of you.

If your not really friends, and just dating, you shouldn't be able to pry into her personal life like that. Then you see what guys she has dated, what she is doing, whats on her mind, where she is at. Its too much too soon. 3

I'm not even very active on Facebook anymore, I rarely update or post anything, but I know the game. I'm in my twenties, and the girls I'm interested in are in their twenties, and the majority of them are dumb as hell and care about dumb **** - like Facebook. It's ok if you don't want to keep with the times - maybe you don't understand them - but Facebook is important to the sheep of America. If anything, I should use mine to manipulate my image. It may seem sociopathic, but guess what girls: All guys do it to some extent. Surprise.

I'm 25 and pretty much everyone I know has facebook except for me. Although life would be easier if I played ball, I don't roll like that, homie. I come across as a boss when a girl asks for my facebook and I chuckle and say "I don't do the facebook thing." I look edgy and cool Stand out from the crowd vagina. 1
