Author JoelBarish Posted October 6, 2013 Author Posted October 6, 2013 OP, your niece is very smart. Lol yes she is. Still hurt though 1
heartshapedrocks Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Joel, sorry to hear this happened. I had to feel every ounce of pain before finally hitting my emotional bottom than slowly but surely taking care of myself things started to heal. You are doing all the right things...venting, taking the high road (NC, no FB etc.), feeling YOUR pain, not jumping in and taking another hostage like your ex did. You will feel joy again guaranteed! Hang in there one day at a time, even if it is 10 or 1 minute at a time. 1
seekingpeaceinlove Posted October 7, 2013 Posted October 7, 2013 Damn, Joel, that sucks! My ex and I live ridiculously close to each other and I've been avoiding hanging out in the area just so that I don't have an experience like yours. Nightmare! Like others have said, allow yourself to feel the emotions and continue progressing like you have been. We strive for indifference and someday we will get there...that day when we see our ex and feel absolutely nothing but a familiarity. Be patient with yourself but continue to push forward. 1

Yes it was a nightmare and I dread experiencing it again. I wish she would move 1000 miles away but I don't think it will happen. So I got to get tough here. Chew broken glass, whatever it takes. Lol
