OK, now here's a thread I'm sure a lot of women will weigh in on. Obviously kissing is very important. If you've been with somebody a couple of times, and they give you a kiss...I believe that where the kiss is given can signal their feelings about you. Ladies, do you agree or disagree?

And this leads me to a question...if I've received a kiss, say about an inch from the lips, off to the side,(but definitely not the cheek) what is that saying? A female friend of mine says it's a good thing, especially if the kiss was given at the beginning and the end of the date (which this was). OK, so ladies, does the proximity of the smooch a good guage of somebody's feelings? (Wow look at me being all scientific here!)

A second date is a better indication of someone's interest. I wouldn't put too much energy into trying to decipher how someone feels by the location of a kiss (on the cheek).

Hey man, sometimes I slip and miss the cheek and catch the side of the lip. It happens.

If she did it on purpose then maybe. I agree though, you can't really tell from the first date. On the second date if she does that again then just grab her and plant one on her and see her reaction.!! :)

JKJKJk seriously though that could mean anything. I say wait until the second date.

...this was our second date...

Honestly, you know what, I enjoy being with her, and I think she enjoys being with me. I am just hoping to get a 3rd date with her. She's keeping her options open, and so am I. But when I think about her, wow, I haven't meet a girl in a long time that I have this much in common with, and that I like being with. Heck, for a while there I wasn't sure if I was going to get a second date with her, and I did. A friend of mine said that it was a good sign if got a smooch at the beginning and the end, so I wanted to post and get some other reactions here.

Ohhh I C now. That is a good thing. She might just be taking it slow and playing it safe you know?

I love that jumpy excited feeling of meeting a person and going on the first dates and finsing out that they are actually cool people out there.

Go for the third date!! Do you guys talk on the phone a lot? Can you see yourself in a relationship with her?

OK, I’ll try to give you a Reader’s Digest version here. I met this girl, and we clicked right from the get-go. She’s funny, intelligent, very down to earth, and very pretty. We would email or talk every day, never running out of things to say to each other. Then we met, had a great time and kept up the email. Then later that week she was getting a cold, and when I asked if she was being distant, she said that when she's sick she doens't need an email every day. She also said that I was being a bit more enthusiastic than she was. So I backed way off, didn’t email or call her. Two days later, she emails me saying that she hasn’t forgotten about me, she’s been way busy and we’ll talk soon. So slowly, I start writing a little more often, and calling her. After a couple of weeks I’m feeling good vibes and ask if she wants to go out again. We do and again have a blast. I told her that I hope I could see her again soon, since we do have such a blast together. She agreed and said “well we are 2 for 2”. So I’m keeping up the keeping in touch, little by little. We both agree that we have a lot in common and we enjoy each other's company very much. I also told her that I felt as if I've known her for much longer than we have, and feels the same way towards me.

Ok, As for your question…I would like to be more serious with her, but obviously it has to be mutual. My honest feeling is that she's a little skittish because she's been with guys who are only interested in her looks...nothing else. You know what's really interesting? The second time we were together I got to see more of the "real" her...and I liked her even more. And I also have to say that I have not met a girl that I have as much in common with or enjoy being with as much as her in a very long time(although I'm sure she's heard that 1,000 times from other guys who are only interested in her for her looks).

I know she's keeping her options open...she tells me she's talking to other guys (which kinda puts a pin in me, if you know what I mean), but at least she's being honest with me...and she's not doing it in a nasty way or comparing them to me...she just mentions it. A couple of weeks ago I did something that annoyed her a little, and she sent me an email saying so (which actually I appreciated). She said she hoped I could handle her being so down to earth, and I said of course I could. She wrote back and thanked me for being so cool. She then told me that if she didn't see something with me, that she just would have been like "bye" and not talked to me again. So I took that as a sign that something is there...I'm just wondering if it's friendship, or something possibly more. As I said, I think she's been hurt before, and she wants to make sure before she makes any decisions. We still email each other or talk every few days...which of course is a good thing.

Which brings me back to the reason I posted...to see what everybody thought of where she places the kiss. So yes, I'd like to ask for another date, and I hope we do go out again. OK, so there you go...what do you think?
