Met a girl online and after some chatting and flirting set up a date. We decided to meet at a metro station and go to the restaurant. She got there and called me because she couldn't find me, we met up and headed to the restaurant. We got there had dinner and continued to talk for some time. I think we must have spent like over an hour at dinner just talking and talking. (She's not shy, and isn't afraid to swear, she's quite funny too!)

We then walked and talked until we got to the Washington monument and headed west so we could get to the lincoln memorial. We saw the reflecting pond and the Lincoln memorial and the WWII memorial. It was all pretty cool! We talked about our homes (she has moved around a lot) and just life views in general.

We walked for a while I threw my hand over her shoulder and she put her arm around my waist, when I let go she grabbed my hand and we ended up holding hands for a while. (I had been touching her quite a bit at this point and she was quite receptive to it so I knew I was golden.) We decided to look at the clock and realized that it was like 11:45! Now I go 2-3 hours with a date, but I don't go any longer because I don't want to drag it on. She and I met up at 7:15 so I was already well over that mark (all said and done...we spent about 7hrs together...but I'm getting to that lol)

We walked back to the metro station and were super thirsty at this point and looked for some sort of CVS or something but they were all closed. We got to the metro station and I grabbed her and spur of the moment kissed her there, because...why not? It wasn't long, just a quick kiss then pulled back and kissed her again. I figured I could and everywhere else had been a lot more public (not many people where we were at...not the MOST romantic thing ever but whatever. I realize now I should have done it earlier at the reflecting pool at the capitol building....live and learn)

Went down only to realize that the metro had been suspended and they were doing track work. Off to another station! So we walked to another only to find out that work was being done there too!! FML so we went to Five Guys Burgers and Fries and she bought us drinks. I mean I spent $64 on dinner.

SO we sat at a bus stop and she called a cab. I scratched her back and for a bit she had her hand on my thigh. We hopped in a cab and were driven to her car at one of the metro stations. (Kissed her again) By this point we were tired and slap happy and it was 1am. So we were failing pretty hard. Like I forgot I had the gps and kept forgetting to tell her to turn and whatnot. We almost hit 2 deer that were just meandering about the suburbs. FINALLY made it to my metro station so I could get my car, kissed her goodnight and went on my way. She dropped me off at like 1:45 or so I believe?

BUT we talked about it, and this week are going to try to do something. So 2nd date! Woo!

She is cute, a bit different for me, very independent and has the mouth of a sailor. We have very similar beliefs which is awesome but the whole. "I connect better with animals than I do with people, and I can't remember the last time I cried," (she was telling me a story where she cried over the death of a Guinea pig in college-she's 22). I think that is a bit strange and the a red flag went up, but I felt amazing on our date. Loved spending time with her.

TL;DR We went out, kissed a few times (3 times, quick pecks) and set up a 2nd date. I'm assuming she likes me but I've been out of the game so long I don't really know....

It's all good man. Sounds like a nice first date. A bit lengthy as first dates can go, but sounds good overall. No worries!
