Jagger341 Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 It's a question I've asked myself time and time again. I've been and still am very ill and have had to sit at home, so I've decided to ask this question here and now. Some say things are more advanced, others say that humanity's screwed. What do you think and why?
Philosoraptor Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Each person is responsible for their own choices and their own path... simple as that. Overall though I tend to believe that as individuality dies and people flock to "be" what society tells them to be... that we as a species will contiue to falter rather than prosper.
Bubberfly Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Neither. People are the same way they've always been, be it from 20 years ago, 1000 years ago, 10000 years ago... Only difference is that we now have media and scientific studies to document everything. Humanity isn't screwed per se, it just hasn't really evolved much. Sure, a lot of us can read and are educated. Sure, we have electricity and hot running water. But humans are still pack animals by nature, we still rely on eachother for everything and therefor have to "fit in" to a certain extent. We've all had to "lose our individuality" since the beginning of man. It's survival.
