It is widely known as a hookup site, as you are literally judging prospectives on looks. ANd perhaps common facebook friends and interests. My "potentials" have rarely had any connection to me at all. Basically you look at the pic/tagline and say yes or no. If you both say yes, then it opens up the option to chat. As you might guess, for such a looks focused site, you will get messages that are more hookup request than get to know you. I've been chatting with someone for a couple of days now. And surprisingly enough, the most "appropriate" conversation has been with someone from the hookup site. Who would have thought! We are meeting up later this week.

Author GirlontheLam Posted October 3, 2013 Author Posted October 3, 2013 mini update: We met for drinks tonight, after a couple of false starts. (we have been trying to schedule since friday. ) I had a good time. We shared dry/sarcastic sense of humor and other stuff in common, including the tendency to exchange witty banter with other bar patrons. We had fun picking out songs on the jukebox, and he has good taste in music. One of the things I didn't like about him, ended up leading to something positive. He smokes (boo!). And wanted to grab a cigarette and have me join him outside, I started getting chilly and he gave me his outer shirt. I ended up wearing it for the rest of the night. We called it a night, I gave him his shirt back, he walked me to the train, and wanted to make sure I got home safe. (cue the awwww, how sweet right now) Cons: work hard/play hard type (he is very ambitious) He's cute, a gentleman (I love that!), hits tons of my checkmark items, and we were laughing and smiling the whole time. That's pretty good in my book! 1
