I have been broken up with my ex for 5 months or so now, she left me. I almost cant believe how awful I once felt, fast forward to now to the smile on my face every Monday... its like I became an entirely new person out of the pain. All the working out and dietary focus paid off, I have never been healthier. I really want to thank this forum for giving me the strength to pick myself up. By reading others posts who are going through the same thing, or employing tricks like NC, understanding what gigs is; I have really come along way from the guy who teared up in public two-three times a day. I haven't had any contact with her, and gladly I don't think I ever will again. If so I would probably thank her. Last I heard she found the father figure she was looking for, who gave her the job she wanted. I took a step in the independent direction with hopes and dreams of travelling and volunteering the world, after finishing my shiny new second degree that is.

You are like a plain block that over time is reduced to a unique sculpture. Chiseled by influence, experiences, and the people that are with you through it all. The longer you are with someone, the deeper the gouge. The deeper the gouge, the longer erosion takes to smooth the sharp edges, left behind after they complete their portion. No matter what happens those edges will always wear down, if left untouched.

I hope everyone finds what they are looking for and accept that sometimes people are better left as a chapter in your life.

Cheers.
