GG3 Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 How does everyone else feel when people delete you on facebook? I know I have always been a sensitive person but I hate it! It brings me back to those younger years of rejection. And some of the people that delete me, I don't know why I care! We didn't really talk a lot. Just recently my cousin who I never really had a relationship with sent me add requests twice. I finally added her and after a week she deleted me. She is on a lot of drugs so who knows what she wanted...just to see my stuff or she decided she didn't want me on her page. I also hate when you have a fight these days with a long time friend and they delete you. Back in the old days things might have been worked out but now we have this way of showing someone they have been dumped instead of just taking some time and working things out. Anyone else care to share?

coolheadal Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Don't have to delete because you don't like their post you just can have their post hidden. You leave them on your friends list. If you don't want to chat with them on the Instant chat then you can remove this off the list for instant chat. But they can message you still in your inbox. They won't know if your online or not. When it comes to FB everyone takes the social network to heart. Pull in your gut and move on as it's not he end of the life what they do with their account and you.

Anyone else care to share? i have never deleted anyone off face book...thsi is however one reason i am not fond of it my girls get very upset when someone deletes them ...i think facebook is actually a demon...when they are fighting sisters they delete each other to be spiteful...mean girls i have...no seriously they delete each other for ten minutes and then make up and re add each other.....i find face book a bit childish a popularity thing...not into that.......to me it doesnt keep friendships......it causes problems.....its a good way to communicate with friends you cant get to....and i never have added people i dont know and i dont talk to all the people on my friends list just a few......i have only ever been able to immerse myself sparingly in others lives....another reason why i dont like facebook too much immersion in every body's lives ....ill post quotes or poems now and again, answer or like posts, stalk my teen girls, write a few private messages to friends i love well wishes or congrats or sympathy if needed.....its good to keep a bit of mystery i feel as far as what color your stool is in the morning......i am not into letting people know my every move......bit of a stealth lover i have only ever taken back one friend request......and that was not my wish to do so but on their behalf out of respect for their wishes...even if i were to have an argument with someone i would not delete them that would be their choice not mine.....i have never been really sacked as a friend or deleted as a friend on face book or out here in reality..i am an awesome friend.....;0).but you never really know do you? things happen..... and there's always a first time ........deb

Maybe once a week tops. I'm not really one to go through my friends list and delete people so I guess I take it too personally.
nescafe1982 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I've done mass deletions of people I wasn't all that close with precisely for reasons of privacy. I've also deleted some folks (always people I'm not all that close to) when different social circles have clashed. For example, when I posted something betraying my liberal politics, and one of my conservative friends started an argument with someone who commented on my posting. That kind of thing became common enough that I just "cleared the way" by cutting down my FB friends to those I interact with today and a few people from way back when. If someone you're not close with deletes you, it's best not to take it personally. Facebook pruning is common and is rarely personal. If someone close to you deletes you, then it's an indicator that they have an issue and they aren't dealing with it well, in my opinion. I never delete someone from my FB on account of real-life conflict. That just seems passive aggressive and petty. 1

Uhh well she's a drug addict, i wouldn't take it too personal to be honest... her head isn't exactly, uhh in the right place... I do take it personal when a person deletes me off Facebook, its what my updates was annoying you? Excuseee mee.
