thejive002 Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 I am not sure what it is but as of late I seem to meet women that flake out a lot. I have been trying online dating but with really to no avail. Here's the situation: I met someone online we've been chatting a fair bit she initiates a good number of the conversations but so do I so It's pretty even there. I asked her yesterday if she wanted to hang out but she said she had plans, fine. Today I asked her if she wanted to get together for a quick coffee study break as she is in school, she wrote that she'd like that and she will text me after she is done taking her niece out, I told her I would be free after 6:30 pm. Haven't heard a peep from her, I'm not an idiot but is it wrong to start employing a one strike and you're out rule? I'm finding this kind of flakiness rampant these days, am I wrong to just delete her from Facebook and delete her number? You would think she might have sent a message saying " hey sorry can't make it".
TB Rhine Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 I would say 2-3 strikes, depending on how you feel. Your instincts will serve you well in these situations. It would be nice if she declined but made a counteroffer, but some women are VERY hung up on the idea of being chased, and absolutely, positively *will not* issue any kind of an invitation, as they see that as "your job." 2

You make a great point. There are women who feel if you do not chase then it means you do not have real interest in them.
