Yelp!!

Auuurgh!! I've known enough to stay away from Facebook and Twitter, but I didn't even think about Yelp. This morning I signed on and for s**** and giggles decided to see if my ex was on there. Sure enough!! And although, she hadn't reviewed anything under her "bookmarks" were all these places that we had talked about going to!! And they were all bookmarked after we broke up which meant she went with somebody else! And to make matters worse, they were all in my neighborhood! She was less than a block away just last Sunday!!

 

Oh man this has really put me in to a tailspin...today was supposed to mark 60 days of NC...does this mean I'm back to day 1?! Kind of feels like it...my head is spinning. Let my mistake serve as a warning to others...avoid ALL social media!! Crap...

Yup...back to day 1...the Yelp info upset me so much that I texted her, (no response) bicycled past her place, and also walked past all the places that we used to hang out...all to no avail...60 days...down the f****** drain...guess it will be back to the Xanax tonight just to try to get some sleep...

Stay calm (as best you can).

 

Breathe!

 

Stay busy. Find something immediately consuming that you must do during the day.

 

If necessary, give your car keys to your friends for a couple of days to ensure that you don't drive by her house. Definitely stop checking all social media. Every day you do either of these things is another day you put off beginning your recovery.

 

She is not, unfortunately, looking out for your psychological well-being, mental health, and happiness.

 

So you must attend to that.

 

You must be a good self-parent now.

 

And for Pete's sake, if you feel the urge to drive by, or to check up on her online activities, call someone, post here, paint a picture, but for your own sake, do NOT do it.

 

I know it hurts. I know it is hard. I am sorry.
