napy666 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Do you believe this is true for people? I've seen it a few times from guys and girls online and in real life who have never had a boyfriend or girlfriend or ever even befriended the opposite sex.
Carenth Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 You might want to expand on this... because yes it's true everyone at some point never had a girlfriend or boyfriend. You haven't put an age range or anything on this so it's hard to tell what you're talking about.
coolheadal Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Yes this is true a lot never had any type of relationships. Some don't for many reasons. Age shouldn't matter as once you reach 21 you can choose who you want to be with that's if you want to be with anyone? Matter is really up to you your intent is what you set it to be.
MrCastle Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Had a girlfriend for 3 weeks when I was 15 lols. Don't know if that counts.
crederer Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Depends on age. I briefly dated a girl who was 27 and a virgin. It freaked me out a bit cause she was above average looking and fit, not religious, so I was like "why is she a virgin?" Anyways, our personalities didn't jive so I stopped seeing her but she ended up showing up at random places I was at all the time. I mean way more often than it simply being coincidence. One time she showed up at my friends house when he was having a small get together and he didn't even invite her (one of her friends was invited, but it was an invite only type of scenario). Super weird. So yah, if someone is in their mid 20's, never had a partner, it would be a red flag for me for sure. There is usually a reason why....might be a decent reason or it might be that they're undateable to the average person.
devilish innocent Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 I didn't have my first boyfriend until I was 23 years old. I ended up marrying him, so he was my one and only boyfriend. I was just very shy and quite picky so it made hard to have someone before then. I'm sure there are people who go even longer than me without having a relationship for whatever reasons. 1
ThomasD Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Based on my acquaintances, I suspect it's fairly common for people to have only one or two actual "boyfriends" or "girlfriends" before they find a life partner, or at least a VERY long term relationship. I had a girlfriend (and mutually loved each other) for about 6 months when I was 18, then four years without real dates much less a girlfriend until I met the girl who has been my wife for over 39 years.
NoMoreJerks Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Why can't it be true? I thought there is a first time for everything, for everyone??! Anyway, I had never had a bf until I met my ex at 29. I was also still a virgin. I never advertised it to anyone, but I did tell my ex (when we were about to have sex) that I was a virgin. 1
ThomasD Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 . . . never had a bf until I met my ex at 29. I was also still a virgin. I never advertised it to anyone, but I did tell my ex (when we were about to have sex) that I was a virgin. Sounds like a girl I would have been interested in! I hope you revealed your "secret" far enough in advance that he had plenty of time to consider the significance, and make the first time very special and pleasurable for you. Forgetting for a moment the difficult (but not impossible) task of finding a 29 year old virgin of either sex, would you have preferred having a similarly inexperienced guy as your first sex partner?

Forgetting for a moment the difficult (but not impossible) task of finding a 29 year old virgin of either sex, would you have preferred having a similarly inexperienced guy as your first sex partner? Sadly, it didn't really quite happen. He was a jerk. he got frustrated he couldn't penetrate and I was too tense. He was a selfish pr*ck and just wanted gratification from having sex with me. I just ended up giving him a handjob because he was pretty pissed off at the whole thing. Then , the following day when we wanted to try again, he was a douche again and kicked me out of his place. Then contacted me again a few days later and wanted to try again, etc. When it finally worked, it was nothing special. I regret losing it to him, after having waited so long. He was an abusive jerk.
NoMoreJerks Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 (edited) would you have preferred having a similarly inexperienced guy as your first sex partner? Not really, no. I just would've preferred someone who wasn't a jerk. I preferred an experienced guy, because it would remove some of the awkwardness. It would've been worse if both of us were awkward (but instead got an experienced jerk , which is even worse than an inexperienced guy lol). I knew I would be awkward anyway. lol. But I actually surprised myself. I thought I'd be embarrassed to be naked in front of a guy, and I wasn't, and I was also less awkward in bed (during foreplay, etc.) than I thought I would be. Guess it's because I had been watching porn for a long time, so kinda had an idea about how things were done, etc. Edited September 28, 2013 by NoMoreJerks
bson1257 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 I'm almost 30 and never had a girlfriend.

Well, unless you want to count the 1.5 month relationship I had in high school haha. Why is this? -pretty selective (within reason though) -introverted/smaller social network/not "out and about" as much as extrovets -I'm usually attracted to older men both maturity-wise and appearance-wise. The small social network thing makes it harder to meet this age. That's it. Really.
