whichwayisup Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Of course there are going to be calls and contact. He has been with her for a long time and they need to sort stuff out, talk and together make closure. Respect that process and don't get jealous or hurt by it. 1

I am not hurt or jealous. I can't say it makes me comfortable or that I'll be accepting of it for a long period of time. I realize that's my issue I need to work through.

All the more reason to focus on you, your kids and other people in your life. Put him and your R with him on hold for a while. He has nothing to 'give' to you right now, he's hurting and needs to heal, even though the break up was his idea, it still is a loss and a big change. They probably have family involved and also mutual friends to deal with as well. This isn't easy for any of you but keep things in perspective and think of the bigger picture here, not the day to day stuff.

BrokenPrincess Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 I'm glad things seem to be progressing as you've hoped. I'm assuming he didn't tell her about you during the breakup. Just curious, are you still planning to keep your relationship a secret for 6-12months?
