albingma Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 I'm a gal in my early forties.Sometimes when I go to the supermarket(coles) I flirt with a guy(about 32) who works there.I think he is a manager. This began about a year ago.For the first month we gave each other long stares but there was no chance for conversation. Then one time I was there it was late at night and no one else was in the checkout area.I saw him standing at checkout but decided to pay through self-serve as I was very tired and felt nervous/shy about being alone with him and creating conversation. But he called out to me "come to checkout didn't you see me?"So I went to checkout.I didn't want him to feel rejected so I told him that I automatically went to self-serve as I was fussy about keeping certain items seperate. Then I began to feel faint and couldn't talk to him anymore, paid and left.Since then he ignored me,no flirting. But a month ago I plucked up some courage and told him "I think you're really handsome".We started flirting again.Last sunday I gave him my number. As I work long hours I only check my phone nights and I have an old outdated phone with no voicemail so under my number I added "please text me as my phone is often switched off". He hasn't texted me.
Misfortune Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 So shy and polite You haven't been back to the store since you gave him your number?
Author albingma Posted September 26, 2013 Author Posted September 26, 2013 I haven't been back shopping yet but will get some groceries this sunday.
Author albingma Posted September 26, 2013 Author Posted September 26, 2013 My friends said he'll be put off by my message, but if that's the case then he's not mature enough for me.
plumpud Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 You should watch him with other female customers. He may be just a big flirt with all the ladies and maybe he's married/has a girlfriend? 1
