fujidabruin Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Also: I am going out on a dinner date next week with someone (someone else) I met on OLD. Finally: a date that actually resembles a date. I am sick of drinking coffee and macchiato. Any expectations for the upcoming date? My hope is that you will just feel free to have fun. Good Luck to you, NMJs!!! 1

Not really, no expectations. Just glad it's not a coffee date. But seriously, no, just hoping to have some good conversations and have some fun. 1
TB Rhine Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 She will come back fuming afterwards because he pulled out her chair the first time she sat down, but not the second.
TB Rhine Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 If this guy even twitches when the check comes, some ****'s gonna go down.

I am sick of drinking coffee and macchiato. It really excite me, I wish it would turn into best date for both of you but thinking about what if this good looking decent person also wanted to take coffee or macchiato with you; then how you will react
Author NoMoreJerks Posted October 4, 2013 Author Posted October 4, 2013 (edited) ^ lol no, I drink coffee and macchiato all the time, so I don't dislike them. Coffee dates are fine every once in a while, usually for a first meet-up it's good, especially for OLD. But if that's the only / biggest effort someone is putting in (guy or girl) , with no expressed/stated reason (no money , etc.) , then there is a problem. Maybe, at best, we're just not compatible. At least, you know, let's go to a bookstore that has a coffee shop in it, less cramped space, more to see and do (i go to a large bookstore that has a coffee shop in it, and love it -- in fact, it's my favorite hangout when I don't have anything to do ). Anyway, this one's a proper dinner date, nothing too fancy though, since the guy told me he was recently laid off and is looking for a new job. At least some honesty. In fact, I would not have minded having coffee with this guy and buying my own. At least he let me know what his situation was. Good on him. Edited October 4, 2013 by NoMoreJerks
