Daisy2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 I recall various books mentioned in these threads, but now am unable to find any. What can you recommend? Specifically, to help the OW/AP in recovery. I know we get what we deserve, but we hurt, too. Thanks!
hollyhillcourt Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 I found this website helpful as an OW: For the Affair Partner | GoAskSuzie.com. Probably the best support I have found online. I've read a few books on affairs, mainly to understand why a WS would do such a thing since I had no experience in this area. I did find these books helpful in looking at my situation realistically. "Too Good to Leave, Too Bad to Stay," "Calling in 'The One,'" "When Good People Have Affairs," and "The No Contact Rule." I read a lot, lol!!! But reading for personal growth in this area has been particularly helpful in moving on. Hope this helps. 2
Author Daisy2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Author Posted September 26, 2013 Thank you so much. I will check out that site and look at the books. 1
who_am_i Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 I read Forgetting Mr. Married...I've said its like being smacked in the face by your own personal cheerleader. I totally recommend it so strongly that I'll even mail you my copy! Good luck! It gets easier.
Scott Thomas Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 I know a few that might help, though these aren't directly related to the AP. Why women cheat by Michelle Langley Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus, the entire series. This series might help improve your relationship with your husband.
What Will Be Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 I should probably check some of these out. I'm devastated.
