unknown1492 Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Hello, So my "first love" came back after ignoring me for about 4 years. We dated for a year and a half and together we learned a lot, we pretty much fell in love. However, his actions pushed me away to the point where one night I cheated by kissing another guy. After that our relationship went down hill til we eventually broke up. I begged him to come back, I expressed how sorry I was, and I tried everything I could to get him back, I might of gone a little over board. 6 months after we broke up he dated my best friends cousin and that hurt me! Long story short after ignoring me, he decides he wants to come back of the blue. I'm not sure, I catch myself over reacting. He's been my first sexual partner, and I care about him but my feelings towards him are a mess. He hurt me and I hurt him. Sometimes I feel like all he wants me now, is just for sex. He swears it's not like that. He tells me he cares but that he moved on, but then he tells me I've been on his mind and he doesn't think two people who have had strong feelings can be just friends. I was doing good without him, I had accepted the fact that he had move on, but then he suddenly comes back and now i'm a bundle of emotions again! Advice please, has anyone been through this? What did you do? I don't want him to think i'm crazy, I just want him to hear me out, and I don't know know how to express it. I want to tell him how much it hurt me, and how I still think about him everyday!!!

Hopefully the both of you understand that anything that comes of this would be completely new as in 4 years you are different people than you were before. Sadly though he's coming on rather strong and I'd gamble he just got out of another relationship and is going somewhere familiar in order to hide from his pain. Find out all the facts first so you don't end up a rebound.

BC1980 Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 I agree with the other posters. More than likely, something happened to make him want to revisit a 4 year old relationship. Feelings will fade over that much time. I'm sure he didn't forget you, but it takes a lot to want to actually make a move to reconnect after 4 years. It takes some sort of catalyst. Just proceed with caution, and make sure his intentions are good. I hope for the best for you.
