Heroeric Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Me and my ex were together for almost a year but she just broke up with me last week. Well two days afterwards her cat passed away and she texted me, telling me he passed away. She explained what happened when I asked, but remained distant from me in her replies as I tried to comfort her. Her and I were in a LDR so the cat wasn't a big part of my life, but was a big part of hers so I did everything I could to comfort her without bring too lovey. What does it mean that she texted me about it? I'm so lost.
Romaks Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 She sees you as the only person in her life that understands what the cat meant to her as well as her emotional attachment to it, so you're the only person that she can talk to about it.
Author Heroeric Posted September 25, 2013 Author Posted September 25, 2013 Does it mean she still has some feelings for me still? Like she might want me back?
mikei880 Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Does it mean she still has some feelings for me still? Like she might want me back? What it means is that the next time she pulls this ,you politely tell her "I'm not that person anymore, remember?". Wish her well then move on. 2
Romaks Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Man, who knows what she wants. She probably doesn't even know what she wants exactly. I would go NC and move on. It sounds harsh, but you're not going to get anywhere by not giving her space. If she really wants you in her life, she'll know and she'll be ready to move heaven and earth to get you back, and only then do you consider it.
barky2 Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 It doesn't mean a damn thing. Stop analizing...Itll get you nowhere besides a padded cell. Barky 4
Chi townD Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 She's looking at you as an emotional tampon. She doesn't have anyone else (yet) to seek solace with. She went to you, you made her feel a little better about the situation and now, back to the gutter with you! Look, I'm not telling you to be an uncaring asshat, just realize what it is. She using you to feel better, not to get back with you. 2
reddragon588 Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 She's looking for comfort, nothing more. By giving it to her, you're implicitly telling her you are ok with giving her all the support of a relationship without any of the commitment from her. 2
Author Heroeric Posted September 25, 2013 Author Posted September 25, 2013 So my girlfriend broke up with me last week, but during our final conversation she told me to take my Facebook off private as her and I were not friends on there. She claimed she wanted to check up on me. I'm lost, she wanted to break up but wanted to check up on me. Thing is, I haven't had that happened before. And she hasn't talked to me yet. Anyone else experience this. Regardless, what does this show with how she feels?

JDPT Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 If she has keys to your place I would take those back too.
headinthecloud Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 When she broke up with you, she lost the right to tell you what to do. Go no contact (NC) and keep your facebook private.
