irresolute Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 OK, so I made it today! He was waiting outside Starbucks, and greeted me with a smile. He said I looked just the same as in the pics. Then he said he was hungry, he wanted to have lunch with me instead of coffee. Cool He said I was attractive, blah blah, we started talking. Very fluently. Nice. He asked me things, I asked him. He then asked me if I ever make it to the city (I live 40 minutes away) I said yes, if I have a good motive. He said he was a good motive (point for me!). Then I asked about other dates, he told me he's very excited about someone, and he's having a second date when he's back from a trip tomorrow. ( Then he asked me about a second date, I replied, let things flow, you already have a second date, see how that turns out to be first... He said ok. Then he said he'd like to take me to a restaurant he likes very much. I said yes, I'd love to. When food came, conversation died, and I found hard to find any more theme of conversation. He seemed more interested in eating ( I said I had to go, he accompanied me to the car, we kissed (not tongue) and hug. He said "wow, and you smell good too!" (point for me!) and then we said goodbye. He hasn't texted me or emailed me after that. Date was this morning. What do you think? Mixed signals, no? Please, oppinions
Phantom888 Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 This guy is fishing around. Compliments and all, he is trying to make you like him, even though he has other plans with another girl. Some men like to get the upper hand, so he gets to decide if things can move forward. By making you fall for him, he has absolute control. It's all about control. You sound like a nice girl, and I don't think this guy is nice at all. IMHO.
Author irresolute Posted September 23, 2013 Author Posted September 23, 2013 Mmm, he seem like a nice guy. What in the conversation made you think he's not?
deathandtaxes Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Blah don't wait on a text from him! If you like him and want to see him again, CALL him! Be assertive!

BluEyeL Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 He is not interested. This wasn't a good date.
Author irresolute Posted September 24, 2013 Author Posted September 24, 2013 Hey thank you for the feedback! He actually seemed genuine (I know what a player looks like, believe me!!) However, I agree with you all. He sent me an email yesterday complimenting me and saying I'm on his mind and he's so excited to see me after he comes from his trip. And he remembered all I've said, and he said he liked our conversation blah blah blah But, you know what, he made a huge mistake: he shouldn't have talked about the other date he's SO excited about. So, this guy is already dead for me.
