If you are asking me if I would feel safe in a neighborhood that is well known to be a bad neighborhood rife with crime (which, sadly, does have higher concentration of minorities than it does whites) -- that's a different story. I would feel uneasy because it's a bad neighborhood, not because it was a black neighborhood.

 

But if I'm in a good neighborhood and there happens to be a high concentration of blacks, would I mess my pants? No.

 

 

So tell me which black neighborhood would you have no problem walking around? I would like to know. Bah you'll probably send me to Detroit and I'll get killed within the first 5 minutes of being in the ghetto.

The fact is, the likes of those who fought long and hard against racism towards their people did not do it so that they can piss white guys off by sleeping with their girlfriends.

 

They did it to stop the oppression and severe abuse against their people, to liberate them and give themselves the same freedoms as everybody else.

 

The black guy in question is not going to be devastated and lose sleep over a white guy being pissed off about his girlfriend having sex with black guys... he's probably flattered, pities the OP, and finds it mockingly hilarious.

To be honest I'm not fine with it...

 

Racism in it's true form, degrading, insulting, harming others due to the color of their skin? Denying people rights, freedoms and liberties due to the color of their skin?... there's something very VERY wrong with that.

 

But we're not talking about that, we're talking about a random dude who isn't happy because his girlfriend had sex with a black guy... it's NO BIG DEAL, even Martin Luther King would laugh at that... he'd say "get the F over it dude".

 

I oppose racism, it's ignorant, it's not classy, it makes people look mad and detached from society...

I was screaming "RACIST! RACIST!" at the op because he admitted hearing his girlfriend slept with a black dude one time back in high school upset him for no other reason than him being black. It ate at him to the point that he needed to come on here and vent about it. In his OP he asks several times we not call him a racist, indicating to me at some level he knows what he's saying is f*cked up. No more needs to be said. Given all the op has given us in his first post and the posts following, it is clear he has an uncomfortable, unresolved issue with black people.

 

I was not the first, the only, or the last to say it. I suggest you just end things here because we are going nowhere fast at this point.
