I think your insecurity is rooted in the fact that she's a total ******* to you. Ignores you when she's out with friends and all. Polls that were currently taken in my textbook even stated most people in urban black communities said they would rather stay located in black communities.

Yes Quiet and I said I agreed with you. These sorts of beliefs are deeply ingrained. As Castle said all we can really be happy for is the world is moving on whether they like it or not their views will become more irrelevant and dated with time.

Some of these "open minded" individuals are taking things to the extreme with talks of death gangs and no go zones. Obviously people will act differently when their life is endangered. I would leave a city/area if I'm being singled out to have my life taken, it's common sense.

Boy, I went to college in the middle of redneck Virginia. I have NO distasteful opinions towards anyone. But I was made very well aware about whites sticking with whites mentality. I believe that this familiarity thing is done mostly out of fear of racial backlash. Some people still venture out into interracial relations in places where they deem it safe to do so. I believe that saying "insert race here" only is racist. Most other communities don't do the "...... Only" thing, familiar people stick together but there not keeping unfamiliars from dwelling amongst them. . People mind find it awkward living in a community where the minority, but saying "....only" will probably making feel unwanted and unsafe.
