Pookie5 Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Okay my boyfriend is a really sweet guy but he is really dominating. I'm okay with that because since i love him i have to love every part of him. and also, i like a manly man. lol.. however, yesterday night we were on the phone and it was 1. and i was thinking that he had work at 8 tomorrow morning so i should let him sleep. he sounded tired.. so i asked him if he is stressed out or sleepy. he's like stop treating me like a child..so i usually just talk about literally bull****.. about my day and stupid stuff.. so i didn't wanna bore him and tire him out.. so i told him i literally have nothing to talk about.. and he is like k bye. and i told him i love him.. and he's like are you serious... just call me next week then. call me when you find a topic to talk about. i didn't mean to sound like a bitch.. i am just conscious as to how to apporach this... i get scared.. i don't wanna bore him. he always has intersting things to say.. i just wanna seem intersting too.. so i started to cry.. and he just hung up.. i apologized..what should i do..
bentleychic Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Wait for him to come apologize to you for acting like a douche bag. 2
Author Pookie5 Posted September 21, 2013 Author Posted September 21, 2013 you dont think i made a mistake by saying that?
bentleychic Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Uh...no. You know how we handle that? BF will suggest we get off the phone for a while and talk later when we've had time to rest or get some time to ourselves to think. We ALWAYS end up with something to talk about when we talk again. Sounds like he basically wanted you to be his pacifier until he went to sleep or decided he wanted to go to bed.
Author Pookie5 Posted September 21, 2013 Author Posted September 21, 2013 lmao.. that made me giggle.. okay.. i don't know about that.. but i guess everything will be fine once he has time to think... i was just looking out for him and us.. thanks
Treasa Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Find a new boyfriend. Or, you're really determined to stay with this assclown, don't contact him. If he contacts you, tell him he can apologize and grow up or he can **** off. If you don't want to do that, either, at least don't contact him. If he contacts you, keep it short, cool, and have other things you need to do, and get off the phone. Don't tell a guy that you're sorry when he's the one acting like a ****. Don't tell him you love him. If he's acting like that, just calmly say, "I have something to take care of. See ya." 4
soccerrprp Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 (edited) Okay my boyfriend is a really sweet guy but he is really dominating. I'm okay with that because since i love him i have to love every part of him. and also, i like a manly man. lol.. I must say that this above is such a destructive way to think and you are glutton for some failed and disappointed relationships. He is sweet, but DOMINATING and you find that attractive???? That is your idea of a manly man? Being dominating? Good luck with that.... however, yesterday night we were on the phone and it was 1. and i was thinking that he had work at 8 tomorrow morning so i should let him sleep. he sounded tired.. so i asked him if he is stressed out or sleepy. he's like stop treating me like a child..so i usually just talk about literally bull****.. about my day and stupid stuff.. so i didn't wanna bore him and tire him out.. so i told him i literally have nothing to talk about.. and he is like k bye. and i told him i love him.. and he's like are you serious... just call me next week then. call me when you find a topic to talk about. i didn't mean to sound like a bitch.. i am just conscious as to how to apporach this... i get scared.. i don't wanna bore him. he always has intersting things to say.. i just wanna seem intersting too.. so i started to cry.. and he just hung up.. i apologized..what should i do.. And here you go, your dominating, insensitive man. It sounds like you two have little in common. And it also sounds like he's a jerk. Did you find this latest behavior manly, I wonder? I apologize for being harsh, but so many guys complain about some women's expectations of what a "real" man should be like and your idea(s) is what infuriates some guys. You want a guy that is a jerk? That pushes you around some? Tells you how it is? Ugh. Edited September 22, 2013 by soccerrprp 1
crederer Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 I'd never treat my girl like that even if I was in the worst mood. Guy's a dink.
Zahara Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 Read her history. This guy has done more to OP than just be a jerk.
