irresolute Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 hi there! I've been dating a guy for some months and we've lost contact a few months ago. I found him on a dating site and thought I could start connecting again, since we were pretty compatible when together, but some comment he made made think if it was good to connect again or not. After flirting back and forth, I sent him an actual pic of me, and his comment was that he loved it - I dyed my hair last month so I'm a blonde right now - then he said I looked different, and that was a good thing. What does this meant? I'm sure he was attracted to me in the past, but why he said the change was a good thing? Is he cracking on me? I am probably over thinking, no?
Keenly Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Way way way over thinking. He paid You a compliment. Don't get all " what about all the other times " psycho on him. 2
Author irresolute Posted September 21, 2013 Author Posted September 21, 2013 hey thank you! Yeah, probably he wanted to compliment me but didn't know how?
Syconort Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Wow, that's the kind of insecurity and over-analysing that will destroy relationships before they have chance to blossom! Shooting yourself in the foot here. Stop worrying and start having fun. 2

Don't read more into this. He was trying to be nice to you and say that the change looks good. Full stop.
Author irresolute Posted September 21, 2013 Author Posted September 21, 2013 ok ok! Sometimes I'm so insecure!
Syconort Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 The easiest cure for being insecure is the practice of not caring what other people think. It will become a habit, then you can be selective about whose thoughts and feelings you care about. 2
TB Rhine Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 This guy clearly frequents PUA sites, and knew how to lob a comment PERFECTLY crafted to get you obsessing and thinking about him constantly. My hat is off to him!
crederer Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 I think he tried to compliment you at first then realized it may be perceived as negative so followed it up with "that's a good thing" just trying to say he liked it. You're over thinking it. 1
