brookebb Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 i'm friendly with this guy, josh who lives across the hall. we aren't friends, but we say hi. the longest conversation we have had was probably a minute. i was in the hall josh walks down the hall with his friend and he said to me.. "hey it's his birthday".. so i said "happy birthday" to the guy even though i don't know who he is. the guy said "thank you" and then josh said.. "you just made his day".. he said in a joking, playful way. why would josh say that if i don't know the guy at all and he doesn't know me? thanks in advance.

Maybe Josh knows the friend has noticed you and has been interested in you but hasn't been able to talk with you. Or maybe Josh was doing something darker. It's impossible to know for sure, based just on what you've written.
