Date Tomorrow night - text her today?

I made the call last night with the girl I met on Match. It was a little awkward but, overall not bad. She was enthustiac about going out. So, date is made with one day in-between.

 

I cut the call off after about 12-13 minutes. I think she was disappointed I ended the call, so soon. I've read when making the first date call to keep it short.

 

I was going to text her today until, I saw on another thread about once he has your number form OLD, he texts you all the time.

 

Should I text her today to see how her day was, etc or just let this go until the first meet up?

I don't want her to think I'm too eager, nor do I want her to think I'm not interested. I am learning with dating there is never a "correct answer".

Assuming the time/place of the meetup is already set in stone, I wouldn't bother with texting.

If it were me, I'd like to hear from you prior to our date. Just a quick "how was your day".....then, text back and forth a couple times and end it with a "looking forward to our date tomorrow"

 

Short and sweet, not too eager and it definitely lets her know that she's on your mind.

We started texting yesterday morning (very briefly) before going to work, then I called her last night to ask her out. That's the extent!

I don't like much texting before the first OLD date because these things usually go nowhere so it's a waste of time.

I always confirm day before.

 

Some guys try to be cool and think "I don't have to text before the date. I'm cool. She's into me. I'm just gonna show up to the date as we planned."

 

And then the girl flakes on them and they get mad at her.

 

I don't know, maybe it's an age thing. I'm 25. I'm always texting. If you text plans with someone and then don't text to follow through, those plans usually end up getting nixed.

 

Nothing wrong with a little small talk the night before and a "so we're good tomorrow right? I'll pick you up/meet you at x time?"

 

If something that small is gonna make or break her interest in you then she's lame.

Sometimes I think of Mr. Castle as like an online "Big Brother" although he's 25 and i'm 37.
