Yeah, after yesterday's stupid make-me-want-to-barf conversations, I got TWO text messages from him today. Both were work-related but definitely not things he had to tell me.

The first said: "The Director here is saying you stole the mouse from the spare computer yesterday and she needs it. Do you have it?" That was about 11:00 am.

The second was about 5:30 pm and it said something like: "Never mind, I found another mouse so don't worry about it."

AND I IGNORED BOTH. And DELETED THEM. Maybe yesterday really was a turning point and I really mean it when I say I want him out of my life and want to forget I knew him. I feel a lot better just not communicating with him... at least for today. Something about yesterday's conversations just made me think he was a loser.

I want to celebrate the little victories.

Great, great job Cat!! Keep it up. You haven't heard the last of him, not even close. But you need to keep your resolve. You will go through phases with it too. You'll feel strong and sure like you do today, and then tomorrow you may feel sad and tempted to text him back. DON'T!!! Do whatever you need to do to not respond. Go for a walk, post here, eat a twix, dance, call a friend. Take it from someone that has fallen off the NC wagon way too many times, you go right back to square one once you respond. Because he then gets his ego stroke and doesn't respond back to you and you're left wondering . . Again. Stay strong girl!!

Good for you for deleting those messages and ignoring him.

STOLE? That's quite an accusation. He lied. If the director thought you stole, he/she should have spoken to you. His stupid play on words to get a reaction out of you!

I know, right? I didn't know if he was joking or what...? i thought it was bizarre. The director is a little melodramatic but still. But I just called her myself and apologized for having accidentally taken it and said I'd drop it off today.

But since he texted me back and said he found an extra one, I'm NOT going over there today because I don't want to risk running into him! They can buy a new mouse at Staples for heaven's sake. I'll mail them the check for $14.95.
