Any codependents care to talk about or discuss codependency? How to heal? Any suggestions?

Thank you

Healing is usually about finding out the reasons for your codependent tendencies. Do you come from a family of alcoholics? Divorced parents?

hey, i actually found this psychological profile on pinterest quotes of all things...of being codependent....and i hit each point dead centre.....i prefer the word altruism

i think society today places too much emphasis on making numero uno yourself....and with my faith...being christ like and accepting my imperfect way of being.... is a goal in perfecting who i am to be better than i was yesterday today and better tomorrow than today....to be self sacrificing to always help adn have that help to give to those in need, to actvely seek them out to help them.....to attract them to stand by them...this isnt an addiction to me its a lifestyle...

a friend in need is a friend in deed

the ultimate co dependent is jesus......a true martyr i guess considered he was nailed to a cross whipped and beaten made to wear a crown of thorns but even still blessed the very humans that chanted die to him

" for they know what they do father"..hsi reply....sounds co dependent doesnt it........he spoke to criminals beside him nailed to their own crosses not to fear they would live with him...hmmm murderers and criminals reside with jesus.....all they have to do is repent.....so in other words say sorry and mean it.........so selfless, so forgiving, so helpful to those who have taken the life of another

god is also believed to be a jealous god who desires you put no one above him and that you follow no other god , follow his commandments, not just rules to live by, but commands with the power of everything that ever was,is and shall be to live those commandments..... to the letter by the book...the bible of course not a psyche manual ....he will forgive you if you dont, as always ever loving......unconditionally..... but consequences could be dire...does that make him a narcissistic god....dont think so, it makes him the one and only god....we are imperfect humans full of flaws ...some of those flaws might be considered putting another above yourself.......

but we are taught in faith to always place god's will above our own...to honor and obey our husbands by biblical law.....here lives a co dependent says the psyche manual if you follow that belief.....you are now a door mat.....not by gods laws....but by societal beliefs.......

so i choose not to follow a psyche profile.....even though i hit every point....dead center.........i choose to follow what i am supposed to do in faith and pure love with all my flaws atached that one day might not be seen as flaws of co dependency even if i have to wait till the end of days for that to be.............cheers...woot woot i am a schizo affective clinically depressed co dependent....wow...... writing that diagnosis ...i should just give up and take medication be a living walking dead person for the rest of my life.... ..... ......nah stuff you psyche manual....i am fine....just peachy thanks...praise be to the god above for helping me out past present and future...god i worhsip you...luv ya....... from deb
