I don't get it? They want to text you all the time "just to say hi" or to see how your day went, but they can't get around to meeting. Or you meet once, and then from then on they intiate texts but no meetings. It's not like I beg them to meet, but when I steer it in a direction to meet, they beat around the bush with it.

1 of the text freaks really got on my nerves and I almost told him off. He texted me Sunday, saying "what's up?" When I responded later that day and apologized that I didn't notice his message he says "ha". Then I was like, could you be a little more vague. He says, "just saying hi". I'm like, well when someone asks whats up they usually have some intent behind it. He says, "not really, just saying hi".

I was about to tell him to have something to talk about next time you text me, or lose my number. I met him 1 time before at his store. Since then he's been texting me but not trying to make anything happen.

I'm just like, leave me the hell alone! I don't have time to be sitting here messaging people who can't meet. I told 1 guy, I'm a DO-ER. Meaning, all I care about is meeting up. I don't see any point or have any need to receive texts to remind me you exist, unless we meeting regularly.

I've been getting the same...guy broke up with me and now he texts me asking about how my went and what I'm up to...and I'm just like why are you texting me? You just broke up with me for the 6th time...I need to heal and I don't really want to hear from you...especially since he has no intentions either. I've been fighting my urge to reply and just ignore...maybe that'll help you? Just don't reply. Or give very short brief replies.

That's what I did after the last reply...because #1 I'm not that much into him like that, and I didn't want to give him the impression that he was by telling him off.

Just ignore them. Reading your post I do understand now why people believe that I make too much of a fuss about minor things. You are spending your time brooding about people who are not worth it. Spend your time on things and people that matter and make you happy.

I think in this day and age of people being constantly attached to their phone if their is a lull in a persons phone activity then they start to feel lonely and look through their contacts for people to bug. He probably sent the same message to 20 other people just to see if he could liven up his phone activity.

lol, I do...but I get it so much and there's 2 people who are doing it. I'm just kind of ranting, but at the same time trying to get an idea of why people think that's acceptable form of communication. I don't need to be texted cute thoughts from people I hardly even know.

From what the above poster stated though, sounds about right. People just get bored and try to liven their phone up. But for someone like myself that has a purpose, I don't play that. I also have 2 phones...1 for work and the other personal.

I don't let people bull**** me on my work phone, I'll be damned to allow it on my personal time.
