While seeing her around uni (same degree), I never really talked to her. As such it came as a surprise when she randomly added me on facebook. This began a whirlwind week where we've been messaging each other all day and night and her sending love hearts and kissing emoticons while I crack my corny lines - which she loves as we share the same type of humor. I know I carry the conversation quite a bit but she initiates. We have hung out at university and chemistry is definitely there although we are much more shy'er than when we are hiding behind our keyboard. I'm just so surprised at how sudden this has occurred. Heck we even planned our perfect date jokingly we are going to have together.

Yet I am struggling with some self doubt. I am not the most good looking guy although surfing and surfing coaching keeps me lean. Furthermore She is a good many inches taller than me. I even overheard her friend ask her why she was wearing flats the first time we met up when she normally wears heels. Add also the fact that she is a model, she is american and I am of Indian descent, then you can see where I am coming from.

One night as we were heavily flirting, I revealed my secret love of poetry and wrote her a poem that made her cry. She told me I make her smile and that I make her day. Then she found out I played guitar and we joked that I'll be playing a song I'm learning to her. We rip into each other quite a bit yet we love it.

Yet it has come to the point where I have to step up and ask her out. Yet something is holding me back. I keep pinching myself have I actually met someone like her who actually likes me? Furthermore I keep doubting myself; wondering if she actually likes me or likes being in a relationship and the romance of it. Even more, does she like the poet writing guitar playing surfer or does she actually like me?

So what do you guys think? Am I just beating myself down and should I just enjoy the moment?

From what you write, it sounds like she is into you. You've flirted. She said she smiles because of you... You have both planned the perfect date... visualize it then make it happen! Be yourself and have fun. Good luck!
